When LK Bennett asked me to be part of their Born in Britain/Made in Spain campaign showcasing their classic Floret shoe, I jumped at the chance. I've worked with the brand for many years now, during which time I've gotten up close and personal with the clothes, shoes and bags - the quality of which is unrivalled elsewhere on the British high street. I chose the Florets in lipstick red - deviating from my predisposition for black, black and more black - and paired them with my old faithful Marni dress (which you may recognise from my brief moment in the Sartorialist's lens #humbleboast).  I'll be donning this outfit for one of summer's dressier events, not least because the Florets are so deliciously comfortable.

Here, you bear witness to me giving youth the cold shoulder - figuratively and literally - for the first part of my birthday celebrations. I picked up this backless jumper from H&M (I can't find it in H&M's online store but I found a pretty awesome dupe) and paired it with my trusty Topshop skinnies and Louboutin Pigalles.

Also, behold my new jewellery favourites - a teeny horse shoe on a chain, a mere £15 from ASOS. And it's gold plated! Bargain. And my new chunky chain bracelet, a present from my Mama (and Papa, although I'm pretty sure he didn't pick it out...) from Next.

All in all, a very happy birthday - thanks to those who celebrated with me.

I resurrect my Love Want Need segment in honour of Moschino's Fries iPhone 5 case. Behold its gaudy beauty.

If you've been reading my blog for a while, you'll know that I am powerless to anything pink and fluffy. Unsurprisingly then, when this (now ubiquitous) coat hit ASOS, I snapped it up straight away. I'd been hankering after the Carven version (upon which this one seems to be based), but couldn't quite justify the small fortune for such a season-specific style. Regarding the sizing, I'd recommend sizing down. I opted for a size 8 and it's pretty roomy.

A couple of weeks ago, I hung out with the lovely Emma from Lolita Says So (one of my favourite blogs in the whole world - her photography is sublime) for a spot of lunch and some long overdue outfit snapping.

I wore the aforementioned coat with my new favourite trousers, a pair of pleather babies from Topshop, my trusty fuzzy H&M jumper from the old Lana del Rey campaign, a fluoro yellow Jimmy Choo candy clutch (a fortuitous sample sale bargain from a few years ago) and these seriously sparkly Jimmy Choo sunglasses. Add in my beloved Chanel trainers and I call this look 'eccentric pensioner who's popped out to collect food for her 12 cats'.

I've always considered Cinderella more of a horror story than a fairytale. Firstly, the protagonist leaves the hottest party of the year before midnight, she flagrantly breaks the rules when it comes to mixing metallics (if you're up on your Grimms, you'd know her dress is gold and silver), and then, just when you think it can't get any worse, Cindy goes and leaves her bespoke glass shoes (so avant garde, by the way) behind. As an aside, I've also always felt that the ugly sisters were misunderstood and would be sartorially applauded as Man Repellers if they existed in 2014...

A few weeks ago, shoe giant Deichmann challenged bloggers to review Caroline Blomst's SS14 collaboration. I considered this a sign from the fairy shoe godmothers that I rewrite (and draw) the Cinderella story in comic book form, complete with Caroline starring as the insouciantly cool, Marant-wearing fairy godmother, who's sorely missing from the Grimms Bros' books. You may observe the fruits of my labour above.

I'd been looking for the perfect silver men's-style watch for a while, so when Storm asked me, along with a few fellow bloggers, to road test one from their new collection, I jumped at the chance. I opted for the Multine in all-silver and I haven't taken it off since it arrived. Trust me, I never thought I'd relegate my Michael Kors gold baby (I've been wearing it for about four years), but I might have just been converted.

Firstly, may I excuse the great honking bruise on my knee? I fell on - actually, make that slammed into - a wooden floor, having tripped over my jogging bottoms. Note to self: don't wear jogging bottoms (well, unless they're leather and Wang, obvs).

Above, you can see one of my festive party outfits - a beautiful, lace panel dress, kindly sent to me by the lovely folks at Bastyan. What with the peekaboo insert and the bodycon silhouette, I wanted to be a little more playful with my accessories. Cue a slightly comedic pom pom headband (I wannabe Natasha Goldenberg) and Prada banana heels.
