Look #1: Sloppy Joe Dress, Zip Wedge Boot, Ribbed Hat and Long Birdhouse Necklace. Look #2: Cashmere Jumper, Skinny Cords, Cashmere Beanie and Chelsea Boots. Photography by Luke White.
A couple of weekends ago I had the pleasure of spending a day with Hush, being pampered, playing dress up and striking a pose in front of the camera (the fruits of which you can see above). I'd been familiar with the brand as I'd written about them a lot in my first job a few years ago, when they only did PJs and loungewear. Exactly a decade after they first launched (the current collection celebrates the brand's 10th anniversary), Hush's design portfolio has expanded to include cosy-cool ready-to-wear, from silk blouses to skinny cords that I'd happily wear outside and in.

Don't believe me? Take a look at the seriously cool lookbook, proof that the brand is taking a fresh new direction and designing to appeal to urbanites like yours truly and not just yummy mummies. I've spotlighted some of my favourite looks below.

My shoot day companions? Fellow bloggers Emily, Teresa, Lulabelle and Beth. We all have different styles and it was fun to see who picked what, and exactly how versatile the new collection is. I opted for two looks - a slouchy sweater dress, beanie and my favourite wedged boots, and the rather festive red sweater and white cords (a great alternative to my old faithful white jeans) - all finished with a red lip, natch (this one's Russian Red by MAC).

I leave you with some behind-the-scenes snaps via my Instagram. Thanks Team Hush for the most wonderful day!

I may not have posted a weekly wish list in a while, but that OBVIOUSLY doesn't mean my greed has waned. As the weather cools, I am yearning for pastel pink leather, silk and mohair, a whole lotta lamé and lashings of gold jewellery, as per.

I'd been searching high and low for something similar to Viviana's MSGM floral midi skirt when I happened upon this little doppelganger in a local charity shop. I've been wearing it all summer with cropped tops and silver flats (a la Viviana) or my Louboutin Chelitas.

Last weekend I debuted some recently acquired pieces: my new cropped sleeve leather jacket from Urban Outfitters, that ASOS split front skirt (blogged but never actually worn until now) and my Louboutin Bow Bows. And not forgetting my new Chanel mini flap! I've been lusting after this little guy for years and decided that 2013 was the year he'd be mine. What he lacks in size, he makes up for in personality (and besides, it's been rather liberating to minimise my daily luggage to just a phone, purse and lipstick). FYI I went for lambskin with silver hardware.

The occasion was my cousin's wedding reception, hence the white skirt - which I figured was OK to wear since it wasn't the main ceremony. My Bow Bows are looking a little sad after being danced across fields and cobbles but it was totally worth it.

In the first photo you can sort of see my new (pink) hair - it's faded now so having it re-coloured before I show you properly!

New favourites: Carrera x Jimmy Choo sunglasses (from the new collection, online now) with amazing gold lenses - they receive so many compliments whenever I wear them. And my Moschino iPhone case, complete with cross-body chain strap so you can wearing it as a teeny tiny bag. An essential, obvz...

I was thrilled to be included as a guest editor for Anna Lou of London last week, having long been a fan of the brand (and the proud owner of a social tag necklace, which I wear every day). Thanks, Anna and team!

Sorry for the mini blogging hiatus - work is super busy (which is good news for a freelancer, but bad news for her poor neglected blog). Normal posting will resume shortly, but I simply had to post a snap of my new FAVOURITE Obey t-shirt, kindly sent to me by the lovely Urban Outfitters team. I have a growing collection of vintage and logo T-shirts, which I throw on with skinny/boyfriend jeans and Marant kicks when I can't be bothered to wade through my wardrobe. Obey launched at UO last week and you can shop this bad boy plus other gems here.

P.s. The lucky winners (drawn at random) of my competition with DUO boots are Zippy B and Jo! Congrats, I will be contacting you shortly via email.
