Introducing something I like to call... SHOESDAY. From this day forth, it will happen every Tuesday (GEDDIT? Thought so) and is just one of the new regular features I am going to introducing here on Canned Fashion each week. When I started this blog, its main focus was drawing and dress-up. The thing is, when it comes to dress-up stuff, it's really dependent on when I have a willing camera-holder during daylight hours and if I'm wearing a vaguely photographable outfit that day (i.e. not my beloved grey marl sweatpants, no makeup and my off-white towelling robe). The point is, it's difficult to post personal style posts as often these days. Don't get me wrong, I'm going to continue filling this blog with the narcissism you've come to know and love/loathe/feel so-so about, but IN ADDITION, I am going to include posts on my main loves in life: shopping (obvz), Etsy and eBay, food (did you know baking/home cooking is one of my favourite things in life?), beauty and home/lifestyle. Most of this stuff is up in my head but never makes it onto the page (computer screen) so I am going to resolve to change that.

Anyway, back to Shoesday... With the sun making a rare appearance in London today, I've been hankering after spring colours. 'Silver shoes' is also becoming a regular search term for me - I'm envisioning wearing them with black tights and swing dresses - and of course, I am always on the lookout for go-to black boots and flats to add to my ever-growing collection. Here are the details:

1. Charlotte Olympia Dolly Pumps, £625, via NET-A-PORTER
There is a Charlotte Olympia-shaped hole in my wardrobe and I always thought the Kitty flats would be the ones to fill it but then these shoes came along and they have FLOWERS and they're MUSTARD YELLOW and that should make sense to you because it does me.

2. Kate Spade Gwen Flats, £180.51, via Nordstrom
I've been searching for the perfect silver pointy flats and these just might be the ones.

3. Gucci Horsebit Loafers, £355, via NET-A-PORTER
I never thought I'd say this but... the Gucci loafer is back! Well, it never went away but I think it's relevant again. I want a pair in every candy colour on offer, please.

4. Christian Louboutin Jimmynetta Boots, £735
I've been umming and aahing over the Jimmynetta boots for a little while now and it may be time to take the plunge. They're those perfect everyday boots with a touch of pizzazz, y'know? And obviously the red sole sets my heart beating that little bit faster.

5. Jimmy Choo Whizz Slippers, £395
I'm not sure why, but I don't own a pair of tasseled slippers. That might change now.

6. Miu Miu Bow Sandals, £445, via NET-A-PORTER
These are classic, CLASSIC Miu Miu! They actually remind me of a friend of mine I refer to as Riggles, who would rock these with black opaques and some kind of printed, cropped, patterned kick-flare. An inspiration always.

7. Zara Pointed Slippers, £49.99
Well hello, affordable ones. They don't look it though, do they?

8. ASH Spiral Boots, £149
I have these in 'prune' and have been wearing them to death. The black ones need to be in my wardrobe right about now.
