If it wasn't for these very photos, I could've sworn that Tuesday's pugfest was just a beautiful, beautiful dream. Me and my raven pals, Lulu and Minty (not mine, sadly), being the gals about town we are, hopped along to the birthday party of PetsPyjamas' Heidi (the Norfolk Terrier). My outfit that day was inspired by my puggy companions, figuring that brights and brunettes are the perfect match. That giddy smile you see ain't just for the photos - I was grinning vacantly like that for the most part, a common side effect of being in Pug Heaven.

I am wearing my brand spanking new pink Uniqlo cardigan, Next trousers, old glasses and my beloved Christian Louboutin Piou Piou pumps.

I've been meaning to blog about these Louboutin boots for a while. I've been searching for the perfect pair of brown knee-high boots for about ages - not too high or low, not too wide-toed or narrow-toed... And about two years after my search began, I locked eyes on these mahogany beauties (thank you, Monsieur Louboutin).

I've been teaming them with blue jeans, a massive jumper and my trusty Marant pea coat for most of January, but I wanted a sixties/seventies-style dress to wear them with come spring. A weekend Topshop visit resulted in this denim swing dress, which I plan to wear with white shirts and blouses when it warms up and for now, polo necks and opaques.

You can also see my new-ish haircut and highlights in these photos better, courtesy of the ever-wonderful Ida and Matt at Sassoon, King's Road.

I'm enjoying all the SS13 ad campaign goodness at the moment, especially these Christian Louboutin SS13 lookbook images, just in. I might reconsider fishing if this is the potential bounty...

I live and shop vicariously through my illustrated girls, as you can see. In these latest drawings, they are wearing items from their recent Moda Operandi haul. Charmed life, huh?

Shopping credits:
1. Blondie is wearing a Thom Browne dress and Valentino clutch, Redhead is wearing a Prabal Gurung dress and Valentino clutch
2. Blondie is wearing a Vionnet jumpsuit.
3. Blondie is wearing a Marni skirt.

I have a new favourite brand. It's really too good to share, but I will, because I'm caring and sharing like that. Friends & Associates, the brainchild of New York-based designer Matthew Edelstein, is a new contemporary offering that speaks to my love of block colour and geometric shapes. Think sailor-style blouses (like the one I'm wearing here), sporty, pleated skirts and cocoon-shaped tunics.

I took advantage of a glimpse of sun today and braved it with bare legs. Of course, once my dad had snapped a few photos (thanks Dad) the tights came back on. I can't wait to wear it exactly like this during the summer. Complete with top knot, red lipstick and peace sign. I also can't wait to get my hands on the SS13 collection, which is a FEAST for the eyes.

(Wearing Friends & Associates Resort collection top, tank and skirt plus Isabel Marant Bobby sneakers - available here, go go go! - and MAC Ruby Woo lipstick.)

An easy peasy outfit for layering under coats/scarves/warm things for a day in Shoreditch. Falling back in love with this H&M sleeveless leather bad boy as the perfect layering piece in shivery, shivery London. I picked up these jeans from French Connection the other day (originally bought a maxi camel coat from the outlet store but decided I looked like something from The Matrix rather than Ali Macgraw), and quite enjoying the slouchy/skinny fit - I think they're supposed to be SKIN TIGHT or something but I sized up. Overhang is not cool. Oh, and I wore my Supreme sweatshirt to make me feel supreme - it worked.

Can we just talk for a minute about how great Bay Garnett's piece on Sarah Harris for Vestiaire Collective is? I normally don't wax lyrical on the blog about this kind of thing, but I'm too excited not to share the opportunity of peeking into (my girl crush) Sarah Harris' Portobello pad. That CĂ©line dress. And THOSE giant Chanel camellias that she just, you know, picked from the couture show and had framed - could she BE any more awesome?

I blame Bay and Sarah for luring me into Vestiaire Collective this morning, spotting this Chanel track jacket and promptly buying it without a second thought. My bank will not be happy, but my double CC-emblazoned back WILL. And that's what matters.

I know, I know, I've been terrible at updating this blog lately. The truth is, I've been busy trying to make every single sad snowman in London a little happier. OK, that's a lie. The real truth is that I've been busy with Life Stuff - working, resting, everything in between. I never want Canned Fashion to feel like homework - it's always been a hobby and sometimes, yup, life gets in the way. But never fear, if I'm not here you can probably find me terrorising a snow man in your local park...

No but seriously, I haven't deserted you. Here I am playing in the snow in this vintage patchwork fur (have been trying to find one similar to THAT Isabel Marant beauty for ages) and my good old wellies, which only ever see the light of day when it snows once every two years in London. Cost per wear probably not working out very well...

(Wearing: Vintage coat, Topshop jeans, Hunter wellies, Proenza Schouler PS1 bag and Selected Femme scarf.)
