I was re-reading all the stories I wrote for NET-A-PORTER's magazine and social media channels last night, and reminiscing about what an amazing two years I had there before leaving to concentrate on my freelancing. When I was working there I liked to keep my blog very separate from my day job so never really shared my work here. But I really wanted to show you these video interviews I did with Rupert Sanderson and Tory Burch.

NET-A-PORTER TV is so great and not least because the TV & Video Editor (and my dear friend), Ezzie, is a VERY talented lady - so you should check it out! I was honoured when she let me interview these designers at the very start of my NET-A-PORTER career. Hope you like them!

Also, check out the third video - I think you'll like it...!

I got a dog! Sort of... A golden bulldog money box to be exact, from Zara Home. I think he looks rather handsome sitting on my mirrored tray, another new Zara Home purchase. Man, I love that place.

(Tray and bulldog money box from Zara Home - the tray is online but I can't find the bulldog. I got him in Zara Home Sloane Square.)

My friends Reem and Natalya took this photo of me at the Jimmy Choo x Rob Pruitt event earlier this week for their amazing blog, Five Five Fabulous. For more on the event, check out her blog post.

I wore: H&M coat, ASOS jacket, Reiss silk tee, Selected Femme trousers, Isabel Marant Willow sneakers, Michael Kors watch and Miu Miu bag.

If it wasn't completely obvious from these photos, my dear friend Michele and I love our Marant trainers A LOT.

When I first met Michele, she was dressed head to toe in Missoni. It was love at first sight. She has moved from New York to London which makes me happy. Especially on rainy days like yesterday - if I had that Missoni umbrella I would want it to rain every day. Maybe. We checked out Colbert, a new restaurant where Oriel used to be on Sloane Square - questionable waiting staff but lovely setting for breakfast.

(I am wearing H&M leather pants, Uniqlo cashmere V-neck, Selected Femme coat, Proenza Schouler PS1 and Isabel Marant sneakers - standard. Michele is wearing Kooples jacket, Isabel Marant sneakers, Céline bag which is so beautiful it makes me want to cry tears of joy and a Missoni umbrella.)

It's a NEEDLEPOINT FENDI BAGUETTE. A Fendi Baguette you can SEW STUFF ONTO. Need I say any more? I needn't, but I will. I feel now that there is some kind of cosmic significance that as a child I had a disturbingly large collection of thimbles (for which I requested my father whittle me a thumble display unit - true story) - it was leading up to this moment.

I nabbed this photo from Neiman Marcus but a little birdie (Vogue) tells me you can buy this bad boy at Dover Street Market.

Here's what I wore last weekend plus my new lips ring. Before you ask, no, it's not Solange Azagury Partridge (I wish), but a dupe I found on Etsy.

(Wearing: ASOS hat, Urban Outfitters jumper, Zara skirt, Dorothy Perkins boots, vintage Sportmax jacket, Proenza Schouler PS1, handmade lips ring, vintage acorn bracelet.)

OBSESSED with these Agent Provocateur pyjamas, so I decided to have a pyjama party...BY MYSELF.

You can blame the pyjamas. When I'm wearing them I insist on only drinking from Martini glasses and have to wear full make-up/jewellery. I've become some kind of silky monster luxuriating in my own loungey fabulousness. It sure beats over-washed sweatpants and a shapeless t-shirt when I'm working from home.

(Wearing Agent Provocateur pyjama jacket and trousers, Natalie name necklace from Etsy, eye mask I've had forever and MAC Ruby Woo lipstick.)

Last week I was lucky enough to be invited for a cut, colour and treatment at Sassoon on the Kings Road. Humble boast aside, I have been searching for the perfect salon/stylist since I arrived in London over four years ago. I have tried a few but they have been either too expensive or too unfriendly, so, being unofficially salon-less, I was more than willing to give Sassoon a try. Not least because I am a huge fan of Sassoon himself and sixties hair in general.

I arrived to be greeted with smiles and a capuccino (a very good start), before chatting to Matt Carroll - colourist extraordinaire - about my colour. I have never had my almost-black tresses coloured before (save for an unfortunate run-in with some henna in the nineties) so I was a little nervous. Matt put my worries to rest and we agreed on very subtle highlights, the colour of my ends (which are naturally lighter).

Foil/magazine time...

Then to Ida Newton, the salon's Senior Creative Director (whose own blonde, curly locks induced serious hair envy in me) for the cut. I wanted to keep it long so Ida put some long layers through and trimmed my fringe.

The result...

A subtle change to most but I LOVE it. Thanks Sassoon, Ida and Matt! I think I've found my London salon now...

Last weekend I surprised my boyfriend with a trip to Paris for his birthday. Here is what happened (and what I wore)...

This was my 'SURPRISE WE'RE GOING TO PARIS!' outfit. T-shirt from Zara Kids (yup), vintage beret and Topshop skirt. Flags from eBay. Joyful expression - priceless.

Stroll around the Tuileries wearing my FAVOURITE new Selected Femme coat (it's all I've worn for the last few weeks), together with a Zara knit, Topshop skirt, Isabel Marant sneakers and Proenza Schouler PS1.

Sugar overload at Angelina with hot chocolate and patisseries.

A trip to Cité de l'Architecture & du Patrimoine. The last time I was there was for the Vanessa Bruno show a few years ago (I think). I wore an old H&M leopard print blouse, H&M fluffy jumper, Topshop jeans and Isabel Marant sneakers.

It rained. On my Marant trainers. That made me sad.

But then we had Croque Monsieurs. And that made me happy.

Meet the boyfriend. This was the amazing view from our hotel room.

The best Creme Brulee EVER at La Bonne Franquette in Montmartre.

Obligatory Eiffel Tower tourist photo.

Until next time, Paris!

As you have probably gathered by now if you've been reading this blog for a while, I have a leeetle shopping 'problem'. I acquire stuff at the rate of knots and whilst I rarely feel strong enough to part with my goodies, every now and then it becomes a necessity.

Which is why I am launching a new permanent section on the blog called Shop My Wardrobe, where I will be (reluctantly) selling bits and pieces from my wardrobe. It will always live on a page which you can find on the top navigation of my blog. The first haul is up, featuring a TON of vintage from my favourite shops in London, Paris and New York, plus a smattering of Zara, and more. A lot of it has served me well on my fashion week travels over the last few years (as you can see from the photos) but it is time to send some of my favourite pieces to new homes.

If anything takes your fancy, simply email me natalie@cannedfashion and I will send over payment details, but all the info is here.

I've been itching to tell you about an exciting project I've been working on with My Flash Trash (the brainchild of lovely lady and incidentally, Made in Chelsea cast member - new season wahey! - Amber Atherton). A few months ago they got in touch to ask me to illustrate the cards for their then upcoming City Girl bracelet collection (now available to buy here). I jumped at the chance, and voila! Here are the fruits of our labour (illustrations by moi, bracelets by FLASHTRASHGIRL... Hope you like!

Each bracelet was inspired by a different city, as depicted in my illustrations. Which is your favourite?

The FLASHTRASHGIRL City Girl collection is available now over at My Flash Trash. Many thanks to Amber and the Flash Trash ladies.

It seems no one is immune from the Kardashian effect. Yeah, I went and bought my boyfriend's initials in earring form. Just. Like. Kim.

You too can be like Kim K. Just hop over to Etsy and shop 'em here.

It's always useful to have an outfit you can throw on and go somewhere in your wardrobe. This is my latest 'throw and go' combination in three simple steps:

1. Wriggle into my new favourite jeans by Benetton. I've been looking for that dark gray skinny silhouette for AGES and these (from the brand's new Pin Up collection) are just perfect.

2. Pick out a slouchy tee (my favourites are by Kain) or marl sweater (this one's an old Zara gem) and then throw on a leather jacket. My latest love is this tomato red suede guy from Mango at John Lewis.

3. Now for the no-brainer accessories. The loves of my life: Marant Boston/Bobby sneakers and Proenza Schouler PS1 and, in this case, my brother's Aubin & Wills bobble hat.

(Wearing Mango jacket, Benetton jeans, Zara sweatshirt (similar here), Isabel Marant sneakers, Proenza Schouler PS1, Aubin & Wills hat (similar here).)

Unlike what seems like 99% of the population, I'm not the biggest fan of Lana del Rey. The pink mohair jumper she's wearing in the H&M's ubiquitous latest campaign, however, got me a leeetle bit excited. I've been on the hunt for the perfect pastel pink mohair/angora knit for years, only ever finding unflattering batwing numbers in charity and vintage shops.

I preordered in September and a few days ago, it arrived, in all its fuzzy glory. I kept it on long enough to snap these photos but had to remove it pretty sharpish - it was an ITCHFEST in there. I'm thinking I need to invest in a high-necked, long-sleeved t-shirt to wear underneath to prevent the onset of hives. What we do for fashion, eh?

You too can get in on the itchy action by clicking here.

(Wearing: H&M knit, Topshop jeans and ballet flats.)
