An illustration I'm working on for the lovely Susan of Take-out in Couture. (She's wearing a Chanel coat from AW10.)

New shoes! Zara SS11. Worn with a crisp white T-shirt, slicked-back hair and tangerine (or, some might say, Guantanemo orange) trousers, a la Jil Sander. Felt extremely conspicuous this morning on the tube this morning in bright orange trousers, I must say.

These Isabel Marant Amely boots are my new favourites. My other shoes have been relegated to their boxes and shoot bitter glances at me as I parade around in these wedged beauties. But I don't care - Amely and I go everywhere together - the office, the cinema, even just around my flat, when, you know, we want to be alone.
I always laugh when people deem heels as 'comfortable' but these really are, despite looking like torture devices. I've even abandoned my 'spare shoes bag' which usually accompanies me to work.
I think we're going to be very happy together.
(Wearing: Zara jumper, Zara Kids pink jeans - you can guarantee I will be buying the Isabel Marant SS11 versions when they hit the shops - tiny horseshoe necklace from eBay and of course, my beloved new Marant boots.)

Photographer Vanessa Jackman is one of the coolest people in fashion you'll ever meet. She always exudes positive energy, even when she's been on her feet photographing fashion folk all day. And she's kind to a fault - once missing a good few photo ops whilst helping me to find a cab in Milan (or the cabless city, as I know it). It's always an honour to be snapped by her - and the photos are about a million zillion times better than my measly outfit post pics. So here's me in New York as captured by Vanessa. (Wearing: Ralph Lauren shirt, Cos skirt, Hermes scarf and M&S shoes in the first, all vintage but the shoes and ASOS necklace in the second - bought from Daha Vintage on Orchard Street in NY.) Plus, here are some London shots from last season that I'm vainly reposting:

Gosh, the title of this post made it sound far more, ahem, exciting, than it actually is. And it's probably going to result in some quite frightening Google Analytics key word searches.
I haven't done a narcissistic outfit post in SO LONG and I have SO MUCH to show you. Not least this little Sportmax PVC mac I picked up from my favourite local charity shop. Plus my little Zara sale dress, worn with an old faithful white shirt - my attempt at recreating this outfit as documented on Hanneli's blog and as worn by Vogue writer Stephanie LaCava, whom I had the pleasure of meeting in Paris last season. I am a mere mortal while Stephanie is a New York fairytale princess and oh so graceful and alas, bedecked in Stella McCartney. But I had fun trying.
Also! Ooh! My new ponyskin bag! It's a 60s number I eBayed. It's impractically miniscule but I love it so much I don't care.
(Wearing: Sportmax mac, Zara dress, Ralph Lauren shirt, Stuart Weitzman boots, Hermes twilly.)

Happy New Year! My resolutions:
- Wear nice indoor clothes. Out with the faded t-shirts, in with the silk pyjamas!
- Start a band. I've been meaning to for ages, but this year I'm actually gunna. If you know any girls who play instruments, hit me up.
- Get given a Chanel handbag (OK, that one's less of a resolution and more of a plea to my boyfriend).
What are yours?
