A VERY STYLISH GATHERING

It's been a busy week! First fashion week and then the SheerB2B conference (SheerB2B.com is a business to business site for retailers that is the sister site to SheerLuxe.com, the online magazine I work as an editor for). My biggest dilemma was finding EIGHT worthy outfits and heels that could be stomped around in for 13 hours at a time. (My Zara OVKs were my best friends.) We had lots of great speakers, including Figleaves' CEO, the Marketing Director for My-Wardrobe, the awesome Martin Bartle (ex-Net-a-Porter) an industry head from Google, and Katie Lee, the founder of Shiny Media. Plus I got to put a lot of faces to names/emails - attendees included the beautiful Rachel from Matthew Williamson, the awesome Victoria Archer from Kabiri who is also a fab jewellery designer in her own right and lots and lots more glamorous women and well-dressed men. One thing's for sure: there were lots of bloggable outfits.

I wore: a Topshop cardigan, vintage skirt, Zara OVKs and my trusty Anya Hindmarch Moretti bag.

Phew! Time for a lie-in...

I GOT POLKA DOTTED

Photobucket

I met Jill, the charming photographer behind Pics by Polka Dot - she snapped me and Lucy before the Jaeger show. Here are her pictures and you can find her original blog post here.

VANESSA JACKMAN

Thursday, 25 February 2010
Whilst I was dashing through the rain brandishing a rather soggy umbrella, the wonderful and talented Vanessa Jackman stopped and snapped me. I've wiled away hours gazing at the beautiful photos on her blog. Lovely to meet you, Vanessa!

My friend Vicky just informed me I am on the front page of ElleUK.com!

I didn't think the world was ready for my leather culottes... I was wrong.

LFW: DAYS FOUR & FIVE

Photobucket

At the Charlotte Olympia tea party I finally met the lovely Bip Ling who I illustrated a while ago. Loved her PPQ hair bow! I went to her mother, Tanya Ling's Painted Dresses showing at the weekend - it's closed now but if you get the chance to see the beautiful dresses, do!

Photobucket

Loved the Jaeger show - here we are before things kicked off.

Photobucket

I ran into the beautiful and very stylish Imogen from Eight London. Other blogger meets included Selina of Flying Saucer and Carrie of Wish Wish Wish (very envious of her Mulberry Alexa).

Apologies for the blurry Jaeger pictures...I'm not the world' most adept photographer.

Day five was less well documented for reasons I won't divulge just yet...stay tuned! Anyway, it involved lots of fashion fun including the Amanda Wakeley show (my goodness, I want alllllllll of it) and a brief stop at the Charlotte Olympia tea party, followed by a gathering of my girlfriends to celebrate the end of LFW (well, it is for me - I'm back in the office today and gearing up for our conference tomorrow and Friday. Saturday is going to be one LONG lie in...).

LFW: DAY THREE, PART TWO

Monday, 22 February 2010
My LFW 'fashion moment' had to be Daks...but a close second - OK, who am kidding, my ultimate 'fashion moment' - was meeting The City's Olivia Palermo outside Matthew Williamson, whose style I stalk on a regular basis.

She is so lovely and SO tiny in real life! She told me she liked my coat! I'm such a fangirl...

I wore: vintage coat, H&M pegleg trousers, Topshop socks, Pierre Hardy for Gap shoes and Vuitton bag.

Photobucket

SheerLuxe's Ed-in-Chief Georgie and my colleague Lucy, looking impeccable outside Matthew Williamson. Loving Georgie's Russell & Bromley OVKs and Lucy's fierce Topshop shoeboots.

I'll get the stalkerish pictures out of the way now... FIrst up, Garance!

Mrs Burnstein having a chat with Hilary Alexander. Two cool women.

I was pleasantly surprised at the Matthew Williamson show.. his usual designs are not my style, but I adored the peach suede jacket and hot pink coat for AW10.

LFW: DAY THREE, PART ONE

If there's a reason to drag yourself to Somerset House for 9am, it's Betty Jackson. There were enough mohair coats to keep me happy, not to mention all that leather and corduroy.

Later, Todd Lynn with my colleague Lucy (she has an AMAZING blog, Fashion Me Now - check it out).

LFW: DAY TWO

Day two and I had already graduated to wooden platforms - I just can't do four inch heels for two days running. The lovely Pat McNulty photographed me for InStyle's Street Style!

Photobucket

Then onto Daks which was, hands down, my favourite show of LFW so far. Slouchy cashmere jumpers paired with cropped leather trousers and gold jazz shoes...mmmmm....

In between shows I managed to catch up with the gorgeous Chloe, Matches' Fashion Editor, who was a vision in head-to-toe Freda.
